Welcome to Postcrossing!

I was checking on my Twitter page today when I saw a post by MrHollick about Postcrossing. It looked interesting. Set up an account, get some random addresses and send out postcards! Once your card is received, you are eligible to receive a random card in return. Sounds interesting. Should be fun to see where the cards come from.
So I signed up, and received my first 5 addresses. My first 5 cards are going to: Mexico, Germany, Russia, Taiwan and South Africa! Go Canada Post! (and any other agencies involved the the timely delivery of my postcards!)
When I start to receive cards, I will be posting pictures to my SmugMug and Flickr site. For now, here's the first 5 cards going out. (SmugMug) (Flickr)

December 12 0f 12 Video Set

Since December 12, 2009 fell on a Saturday I was able to participate in the monthly tradition of the "12 of 12".
Normally, this would involve 12 photographs, however, this month, I had decided to do 12 videos.
Below is a Blip player that will play the videos. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks again to Chad Darnell for creating the 12 of 12 Project. To Darryl Wattenberg of the Cache-A-Maniacs Podcast and Sonny & Sandy of the Podcacher Podcast for pushing participation in the 12 of 12.

HD Video On Flickr - New SmugMug Set

Flickr is now offering hosting of high def videos. I decided to upload a couple of videos I shot at the Top Dog agility trial November 7-8, 2009 and this little piece I tossed together after I decorated my fireplace mantle. Check it out!
Pictures from the event are here on my SmugMug site.

Blue Man Group Concert Footage

October 7, 2009 is a day I will never forget. The Blue Man Group returned to town for their "How to be a Megastar 2.1" tour. I've been wanting to see this show since I saw the video on HD Net back in January. When tickets went on sale, I was lucky to get a row 1 seat! With the recent acquisition of the Flip Ultra HD, it was a no brainer to bring the camera to the show. Here's a collection of the videos. Enjoy!

Updated SmugMug Site

I've had a SmugMug account for almost a year and it's been a great experience. Although not as popular as Flickr, SmugMug does a superior job of presenting photos. Recently for an upcoming article on the Geocaching 12 of 12 site, I upgraded my account from a Standard to a Power account. This allows for customization of the site by allowing you to use custom css and java scripts as well as custom headers and other things to make your site more appealing. I've played with it some and I have a ways to go, however I'm like what I have so far. Please drop by and have a look. Click on the picture to visit the site.
If you like SmugMug and would like to sign up for an account, use jkcwNbWZ4bi3M as you coupon code and you will save $5.00US on your price!
So please have a look. I think you'll like it!
